Virtual Vigilante

Teenage kids with toys get shot in seconds but mass murderers are, weirdly always, taken alive. We observed, virtually.

It's a African kid in America, American kid in Mexico, Bangladesi kid in India, Indian kid in Australia. The mindset is widespread. We observed, virtually.

Over time the adminstration failed. People who commit such atrocities administered hate. The administrators won, humanity lost. We observed, virtually.

Time is now!

Women Warriors Worldwide echoed in unison, #metoo, virtually. Change is happening; in reality. Let's observe, virtually.

An eruption in the east gets reported in the west in a matter of seconds. Our response saves lives; in reality. Let's observe, virtually.

A tweet on the cloud, a selfie in the woods, a movie on a mountain, a song by the seashore can create ripples in reality. Let's observe, virtually.

This poem is inspired by a Facebook post (screenshot is the anchor image) by a good friend, to whom I dedicate this poem. His Facebook account is not public, so am respecting his privacy.

The race was between my thoughts in veracity and typing velocity. I have tried to balance the volume of words with variety in wisdom through this poem.

I hope you like it. This is my two paisa worth of contribution, virtually!
